Renaissance Park: Chattanooga's North ShoreTo continue the art theme, here are some images I took on the North Shore from Renaissance Park. This statue has always been so unique to me. I've always liked it. The piece has 7 bronze figures representing the Trail of Tears and the African contraband camp that was close to the site of Renaissance Park. It has a plaque that states, "Weary travelers move across the land upon manmade structures that rise above our reach but in our view. Many peoples have traversed this site going west; some by choice, some by force, and other in fear. The crossing holds the spirits of silent travelers." - Aaron P. Hussey. The sculpture was created by Aaron Hussey and Brad Bourgoyne of Baton Rouge, LA.
