Christine's Fury
Anyone know why this one is named Christine's Fury?? Huh? Huh? Well, ok, first I'll start with a confession. I'm not 100% sure this is actually a Plymouth Fury. I'm not so good at identifying the make/model, etc. Although the Plymouth part was pretty self explanatory. I just think it looks cool. I'd be totally ok with it if someone told me I was wrong! Assuming this really is a Fury, this is the car from Stephen King's "Christine." Yes, that was the horror movie where the car murders people. I only finally watched this movie maybe 2 years ago. I didn't think a murderous car named "Christine" would help me sleep at night. Kind of like watching Phantom of the Opera when I was little and hearing the phantom scream "Christine!" in the underground of an old opera house. Kinda creepy. Now, in trying to figure out if this was actually the right car, I ran across the date that the movie was released. December 1983. I was born March 1984. MOM, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING! I'm surprised anyone would name their little girl Christine 3 months after this movie came out. Knowing my mom, she probably didn't even know about it lol. So here I am, a few decades later with only a murderous car and a phantom's unattained love for name sakes:) Want to see more from Christine's junkyard photo shoot? Click here!
